This page is still under construction, but here are some introductory presentations that can provide a great overview of the Cougaar technology and its capabilities.  We hope to expand this page in the near future to provide a better description of the different course sets, developer requirements, and other material designed to get the most out of the training materials we have constructed.  Until then, enjoy the video and be sure to check out the basic and advanced Cougaar training courses.

Technical Overview Presentation (via streaming video)

The following technical presenation was presented on Friday, 18 August 2000 by Marshall Brinn, Principal Scientist from BBN Technologies and Technical Director for ALPINE.  The presentation provides an excellent introduction and overview to the Cougaar agent technology.  Anyone new Cougaar is highly encouraged to view this presentation.

In order to view the streaming video, you are required to have a correctly installed version of RealNetworks' RealPlayer capable of handling the RealVideo format.  If you do not have RealPlayer installed on your computer, go to RealPlayer 8 Basic to download the latest free version.  The streaming speed of the videos will be set to support a broadband connection ONLY (cable modem, xDSL, ISDN, T-1, etc.) -- viewing the streaming videos using a modem and dialup connection is not recommended.
